SUSTAINABILITY

Social Responsibility

Promoting social and environmental responsibility practices by associating with non-governmental organizations and institutions is an objective that TEROS and its companies has materialized in recent years.

We fully support the following non-governmental institutions in promoting social and environmental responsibility practices:

CAATINGA ASSOCIATION
Created in 1998, in Fortaleza (CE), with support from the Fund for the Conservation of the Caatinga to protect Carnaúba. This is a non-governmental, non-profit entity, recognized as Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP) and registered in the National Registry of Environmental Entities (CNEA).

TATU-BOLA PROJECT
This project has a National Action Plan (PAN) for Conservation prepared for it under the coordination of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) and with support from the Caatinga Association.

READ MORE PROJECT
The goal is to encourage reading, mainly among class C, D, and E families who account for about 40 percent of the population and most of the non-readers in the country, according to a Pró-Livro Institute survey. According to the Portraits of Reading in Brazil survey, half of all Brazilians are readers (people who have read at least one book in the last three months, whether in whole or in part.)
